Bray, Ireland March 2017

Last week we went to Ireland to a beautiful town , Bray , near Dublin. We were a large group, 42 students of the 3rd and 4th year of the bilingual section of I.E.S Gonzalo Torrente Ballester.

On Monday, the students did an exam to make different groups according to their level. In the   afternoon  we visited Dublin. We saw the most important places such as: The Parliament, St.               Stephen's Green, Crafton  Street and O'Connor Street.

We also visited the Trinity Collage, the best university in Ireland.

The second day, we spent the day in Bray. We know how to move around. In the morning the   students had lessons and in the afternoon we went bowling and we had a really good time.

On Wednesday afternoon we went to Dublin again, we visited the Natural Science Museum and  the students got some free time till we went back home.

On Thursday we visited Dublin in the afternoon . We visited Dublinia to know more about Ireland  History.

We also visited Saint Patrick's Cathedral and the National Gallery.

On Friday morning the students prepare a project and presented it in front of their mates and their  spanish teachers.

On Saturday morning we left Ireland. Some of our students wanted to stay there...

Students have known a different country, a different way of living, a different culture and we think they have learnt something more than English. It has been a really nice experience.

WORLD POETRY DAY

To celebrate World Poetry day, our 1st year students have read some poems with their English teacher, Ana.
World Poetry Day is on 21 March, and was declared by UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in 1999. The purpose of the day is to promote the reading, writing, publishing and teaching of poetry throughout the world.

International Women's Day

To commemorate International Women's Day, celebrated on March 8 every year,
some of our students from 3rd and 4th year, have made an interpretation of a famous
American wartime propaganda poster.
Here we can enjoy their fabulous projects.
My special thanks to Laila, Clara, Alba and Paula.

TITANIUM

Are you ready?
In this video we can enjoy the song "Titanium"
by David Guetta,
performed by our 3rd year students
and their English teacher, Javier.
