ACTIVIDADES REALIZADAS EN HISTORIA. 4ºESO A/B BILINGÜE

1.  Dentro de la unidad referida a I Guerra Mundial y aprovechando el Día de las Escritoras, los alumnos y alumnas de 4º eso a/b bilingüe investigaron acerca de la producción literaria de escritoras en el periodo de la Gran Guerra, que además relacionasen el texto elegido con episodios del conflicto. La mayoría de ellas contenían su producción literaria en habla inglesa, por lo que los alumnos tuvieron que localizar un texto sirviéndose de sus conocimientos en inglés para posteriormente traducir el texto en cuestión y grabar un pequeño vídeo leyendo éste.

2. Dentro de la unidad referida a I Guerra Mundial, los alumnos de 4º ESO a/b bilingüe, en relación al proyecto de biblioteca del presente curso (La lectura te da mucho juego), han jugado a con un tablero gigante y tras haber leído el cómic “Gavrilo Princip”, al juego “Sarajevo 1914”, donde se recrea el episodio del asesinato del heredero del Imperio Austro-húngaro y su esposa por parte de Gavrilo Princip. Con esta actividad hemos practicado además un variado vocabulario con palabras clave en inglés relacionadas con este aspecto.

3. También en relación a la I Guerra Mundial y junto al proyecto de biblioteca, los alumnos han visto la película “Sin novedad en el frente” y tras haberlo relacionado con el libro de Erich María Remarque, hemos realizado una prueba en la que los alumnos se han convertido en soldados de la I Guerra Mundial con su correspondiente chapa identificativa, utilizando vocabulario clave en inglés relacionado con todo ello.

WEEK CAMP HERVÁS 2022

After  two years without doing extracurricular activities due to the Covid, this academic year the students of the bilingual section of I.E.S Gonzalo Torrente Ballester, from the 1st year to the 4th year of secundary education have spent a nice week in a beautiful place (El Salugral) in Hervás, in the north of Extremadura.

Week Camp Hervás April 2019

   This academic year we have been with the students of the 1st and 2nd of E.S.O of our bilingual    section in Hervás in a linguistic inmersion.

   The week started with really bad weather, it was very cold, there was snow in the mountains, it rained a lot. There were thunder-storms and it was eventually hailing but...

   The students were playing games indoors. The second day we were invited to swim in the SPA, we spent the whole morning there. As the weather was getting better, the students danced outdoors, practiced sports, went horse riding, practice archery.

   They also rehearsed for the Thursday night show. It was great! The last day, we went treasure hunting to the beautiful village of Hervás.

   We all are grateful to the people in charge of the ''Salugral'' because of their nice treatment and warm hospitality. The students are thinking about repeating next year.

Motivating talk

Last Wednesday, 21st November, the students of the 3rd and 4th year of our bilingual section assisted to a motivating talk by Iva Grimani, a Croatian woman who lives in Almoharín. She came to explain her personal experience about learning English.

Halloween 2018

Last 31st October we celebrated Halloween, as every year. Students of the third year of our bilingual section prepared a ESCAPE ROOM for all the students who wanted to participate in it. They all have a great time.

Also, the students of the second year of the bilingual section prepared a ESCAPE ROOM with quizzes, riddles and misteries. It was a good experience.

April Week Camp 2018

                              APRIL    WEEK CAMP 2018.

   As every year from the 3rd to the 7th of April the students of our school spent a linguistic immersion week in Hervás.

   Both bilingual and non-bilingual students of the first and second year of E.S.O. had a really good time practicing English and playing all sorts of games. Unfortunately, the weather was cold and rainy, but even so we all had fun.

   Most of the activities were inside except on Wednesday. We were walking to the beautiful village of Hervás . There the students were divided into small groups and they had to look for different important places such as : the church, the museum Pérez Comendador, the Jewish neighbourhood, Antonio’s house, the smallest street in Europe etc.. It was great.

   On Thursday we had a sunny day and in the afternoon the students practiced some adventure sports: archery, zip line and slack line.

    After lunch, the students had some free time and they spent that time playing cards, playing volleyball, football, fishing frogs in the pond etc… Also, they rehearsed dances for a Friday night party.

   On Saturday after breakfast they packed their things, played a bit and after lunch we came back home.
